IE:4.0 Specifies deleted text. Typically rendered as strikethrough.

<DFN> ... </DFN>

IE:4.0 Specifies a definition.

Specifies a directory list. Modern browsers display an unordered list.

<DIV ... >

</DIV>

NN:2.0;IE:3.0 Specifies a division. Typically used to change the alignment of more than one paragraph. Netscape Composer does not support its alternative use solely to force a line break.

ALIGN=...

The text alignment, LEFT, CENTER or RIGHT.

Specifies a definition list.

COMPACT

Attempts to prevent a line break between the term and the definition.
